I hear a soft “Come in” so I do just that. Bailey is stunning. She’s leaning over some boxes she has on a coffee table in front of a wall full of floor to ceiling windows. Her hair is pulled up on top of her head, she has on another one of those pencil skirts. This time it’s black with a dark purple button down shirt tucked in perfectly. She’s wearing heels that showcase the beautiful long tanned legs that I have been dreaming of for the past two nights. She has reading glasses on but not like the woman downstairs. Bailey’s look like they belong, and it is sexy as hell. The thought is having me take a deep breath to try and calm myself. She straightens up to see who is standing in her office and her eyes go wide. She looks shocked that it’s me standing here. “Talon,” she says breathlessly. I can’t make out the expression on her face. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea…

An Interview with C.J. Azevedo

1. What was your favorite scene to write?

- Definitely the Epilogue as a whole. My fingers basically danced across the keyboard when I wrote that!

2. Which one was the most challenging to write?
-The physical abuse was nearly impossible to write. It’s Bailey’s story, but I had to give Hollister his voice. THAT, was a struggle. While they were acting out their scene on one side of my brain, the other side was screaming for her to get out of there, like I was watching a horror film. It sucked.

3. Who are some of your favorite writers?
-Abbi Glines, Jennifer Foor, Elizabeth Reyes, Katie Ashley, Aletha Romig and I could keep going but I won’t!

4. What books do you have in the works?
-I am currently writing books 2 (Without Doubt due out this fall) & 3 in the Without series.

5. If you weren't a writer, what job would you like to have?
I’m a mom above being a writer, so I would continue doing that, it’s more than a full time job!

She married the boy she fell for when she was only eleven years old and together they have two beautiful heathens. CJ obviously loves to read and write. She can watch the Giant’s play baseball but hates football.
