Our Review--
It is very safe to say that Shelley and I are both big fangirls and if there is a celebrity in a book...we totally dig it. It is another instance of something so far away from our real life that we just flock to it like a moth to a flame. So when we saw this book is about an actor and a movie set fling...we were like "Righteous!"Completely true. I saw the blurb and quickly signed us up for the tour!
Micah and Maddie meet a party...and while their conversation was pretty hot, I was expecting soon after when he becomes a big Hollywood Hot Shot for the story to go in a pretty cliche direction. The beginning was a little rocky for me...but not long after things pick up and I became really invested in their story. Micah had issues long before he became a star, thanks to his mom...and then his agent DID NOT help things...so his inability to consider a relationship with anyone was a significant obstacle. Maddie, while easier to identify with, also had issues with getting emotionally intimate with men...also an obstacle. Together these two made me batshit crazy. They both had these interior monologues that were so honest and truthful but had a frustratingly hard time saying those things out loud. Eventually I felt less like I wanted to smack them and more like I wanted to hug them but they made me work for it.
These two characters have chemistry out of this world, but they are both held back by expectations and fear. Each of these things makes it an interesting ride to find out what will happen between them! It was a lot of fun! Yep..the chemistry was there from the beginning; the follow up was what was challenging.

Excerpt--
In one swift move, he had her
pressed against the wall, his mouth hovering above her own. The rough stone
behind her barely registered as she licked her lips in anticipation of the kiss
she knew was coming. But he didn’t lean in. Instead, he brought his finger to
her cheek and caressed it softly. She shuddered at the electric pulses that
followed his light touch as he traced her jawline. When he reached her chin, he
lifted her face up to within an inch of his mouth. She felt his breath, hot and
sweet, on her skin. And then his mouth was on hers, tugging at her bottom lip,
teasing her until she eagerly drew him in, wrapping her arms around his neck.
The kiss built, each stroke varying
in pressure and intensity. Soft nips evolved into frenzied exploration, their
tongues dancing, plunging deeply and hungrily. She savored his taste. A rush of
pleasure rippled through her and she trembled under his attentive suckling.
His mouth released hers, traveled
along her jaw and down her throat, his trail of kisses searing into her skin.
She clung to a fistful of his thick hair while he alternately nibbled and
nuzzled her neck, stoking the fire in her core. When he raised his head to
reclaim her lips, she glimpsed a greedy longing in his eyes.
