REVIEW: WICKED GAMES BY JESSICA CLARE

Abby Lewis never pictured herself on the survival game show, Endurance Island. She’s just not the ‘survival’ type. But when her boss offers her a spot on the show and the opportunity of a lifetime, she packs her bags and heads to the tropics to be a contestant. Once in the game, though, it’s clear that Abby’s in over her head.

No one’s more competitive than sexy, delicious – and arrogant – Dean Woodall. Sure, he’s clever, strong, good at challenges, and has a body that makes her mouth water. He also hates Abby just as much as she hates him. That’s fine with her; she’ll just ignore the jerk.

But the rules of Endurance Island are working against them. Abby and Dean are teamed up – alone – on the beach. It’s either work together, or go home. Stuck with no one’s company but their own, they learn they might just make a good team after all.

And Abby learns that with just a little bit of kindling, the flames of hate can quickly turn to flames of passion…

This book features enemies, lovers, enemies who become lovers, and lots and lots of tropical heat…

Our Review:
You might have been introduced to Jessica Clare like we were through Jen Frederick. We read a Christmas-time novella...after Christmas...called Snow Kisses (click for review of that) and really enjoyed her writing. I was quite glad when I remembered I had purchased this book a long while ago, and put it on the schedule to read!

This story is along the same vein as the novella in Snow Kisses because it takes us back inside the world of Endurance Island just they get to be in an exotic location this time instead of Alaska. While the game show feel was the same, I really enjoyed the rest of the story and the antics between Dean and Abby and was seriously impressed that she was able to capture sexy scenes and give us some pretty hot steam during a game show...that was televised...omg I would die if that happened to me. I would die!!! I kept waiting for them to get busted. Hahaha. These two were funny together.

Dean and Abby fall victim to the curse of non-communication. They're playing a game for two million dollars, and barely know each other so while their chemistry is off the charts...they find it very hard to trust. I found this book to be very fun, funny, steamy, hot, sexy, exciting and very much enjoyed reading it! Made a rather cold snowy day in Missouri heat up! Yahoo! Yes, this was a fun read. Very quick. And, low on angst and high on entertainment.

Courtney: 4 Stars
Shelley: 3 1/2 Stars

About Jessica Clare:

This is a pen name for Jill Myles.

Jill Myles has been an incurable romantic since childhood. She reads all the 'naughty parts' of books first, looks for a dirty joke in just about everything, and thinks to this day that the Little House on the Prairie books should have been steamier.

After devouring hundreds of paperback romances, mythology books, and archaeological tomes, she decided to write a few books of her own - stories with a wild adventure, sharp banter, and lots of super-sexy situations. She prefers her heroes alpha and half-dressed, her heroines witty, and she loves nothing more than watching them overcome adversity to fall into bed together.
